Karl’s Marine Survey, Inc. is a full service firm for conducting marine surveys on recreational and commercial vessels. Karl’s Marine Survey, Inc. will perform a thorough survey to determine the seaworthiness, overall condition and compliance with the Code of Federal Regulations and ABYC and NFPA standards, as well as provide an accurate determination of the vessel's market value and replacement cost. The collected information is compiled in a formal report and sent to the client. Consulting on and monitoring of a particular situation are also done at the client's request.

Survey's are performed on a broad range of power and commercial vessels. Surveys are comprised of three segments: an examination of the hull and propulsion system while the boat is out of the water, an examination of the vessel's deck systems, interior, power system, electrical system and sanitation system while in the water and sea trials while the vessel is underway. Additionally, a complete inventory is taken of the vessel’s navigational systems, safety systems and power generating plant. Materials and construction techniques are observed and reported upon. 2. Moisture readings of fiberglass laminate (to test for osmotic blistering) or water in cored construction, as well as monitoring of hull dryness during blister repair.
